According to the information available to date, the Covid-19 coronavirus is transmitted mainly by postilions (coughing, sneezing). It is therefore considered that close contact with a sick person is necessary to transmit the disease: the same place of life, direct contact within a few feet during a cough or sneezing, or prolonged contact, for example during a discussion in the absence of protective measures. One of the preferred vectors for the transmission of the virus is contact with unwashed hands.
The virus can survive for a few hours on surfaces (or even a few days under specific conditions, in a humid environment), and hands or even objects handled (pen, doorknob, etc.) can be vectors of transmission.
Order contactless deliveries
For the safety of all, it is essential to avoid any contact with service people, deliveries, and other visitors. We wanted to remind you of the main rules of contactless delivery.
We invite you to respect 'social distancing' from other delivery people and others.
Leave delivery instructions with store or app to 'leave at door' when feasible.
Instruct the delivery person to notify you of his/her arrival (by knocking or ringing)
The delivery person leaves immediately or leaves a distance of at least 6 feet from the door before the door is opened. The goal is not to cross paths.
Before eating, rinse fresh fruits and vegetables under running tap water, including those with skins and rinds that are not eaten. Scrub firm produce with a clean produce brush. For canned goods, remember to clean lids before opening.
When unpacking groceries, refrigerate or freeze meat, poultry, eggs, seafood, and other perishables—like berries, lettuce, herbs, and mushrooms—within 2 hours of purchasing.
Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen counters using a commercially available disinfectant product.
