How To Make Gingerbread (RECIPE)

Gingerbread is delicious, not only for its color and texture but for the aroma that perfumes our house from the moment we put it in the oven. It is synonymous with autumn and winter, as we usually bake it this season in which we also meet at home with family and friends.

Ingredients

4 tablespoons of butter

½ cup of sugar

2 eggs

½ cup molasses

1 ½ cups of wheat flour

1 teaspoon of baking powder

2 tablespoons ground ginger

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon allspice

¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

½ cup plain yogurt, unsweetened

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 ° F.

Cover a loaf pan with parchment paper

In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients.

In another bowl, with an electric mixer beat the butter with the sugar for about 5 minutes

Add the eggs one by one and continue beating.

Add the molasses, flour, and yogurt and beat until a homogeneous mixture is formed.

Put the mixture in the mold and bake for 55 minutes until when you insert a toothpick in the center, it comes out dry.

Let cool completely before cutting.
