Therese Raquin (Oxford World's Classics)
By Emile Zola

I recently had the pleasure of reading Therese Raquin (Oxford World's Classics) by Emile Zola. As someone in my twenties, I can honestly say that I found this book incredibly entertaining and thought-provoking.

The story follows a young woman, Therese, who is entrapped in an unhappy marriage that leads her to commit a dreadful act. The book manages to keep the reader captivated with vivid imagery and intense emotion. One can truly feel Therese's pain, joy, and struggle, making it a highly visceral roller coaster of a ride.

While at times, the book may be heavy and dark, it ultimately teaches a lesson of self-discovery, freedom, and perseverance. This book is a must-read for women in their twenties and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
